Here it is: AI isn’t disrupting your Accountability Chart. It’s joining it.
I know how that sounds. So over the past 8 days I’ve published a series of LinkedIn posts walking through the full thinking. The real examples. The honest admissions. And the practical implications for your business right now.
This special edition exists to bring it all together in one place – because I think this is the most important conversation entrepreneurial business owners need to be having right now. And I want to make sure you don’t miss a word of it.
The Series at a Glance
Here’s what we covered – & why each piece matters:
Day 1 – The Origin Story Where this all started. Why being challenged publicly is sometimes the best thing that can happen to your thinking. And the big idea that emerged from it.
Day 2 – EOS Is Not Software. The single most important thing to understand about EOS before you have any conversation about AI. EOS is not a technology. It’s a human energy management tool. And that changes everything.
Day 3 – The Irony Post. I used one AI tool to talk to another AI tool about AI. And one of them misheard me. What happened next perfectly illustrated everything I believe about AI & EOS.
Day 4 – Meet My AI Team. I introduced you to D2, Ellie & Gemini – the three AIs on my Accountability Chart. And explained why the same rules that apply to every human team member apply equally to them.
Day 5 – The Most Expensive AI Mistake. I watched a business owner automate a broken process. The results were spectacular – for all the wrong reasons. Garbage in, garbage out. AI just does it at scale.
Day 6 – AI Won’t Take Your Best People’s Jobs. Bad leadership will. This post is about what happens when businesses implement AI as a top-down mandate without bringing their people on the journey. And why done right, AI eliminates the boring jobs & leaves the good ones.
Day 7 – The Number That Matters. My EOS clients are averaging 64.9% additional net profit growth. Not despite AI. Partly because of it. But here’s what’s actually driving that number – & it’s not the technology.
Day 8 – The Thesis. The post I’m most proud of in this series. What if AI isn’t disrupting the People component of EOS? What if AI is part of it? This is the idea I arrived at after all of the thinking, all of the challenging & all of the honest conversation.
The Idea in One Paragraph
If you only read one post – read Day 8. But here’s the short version:
AI – whether LLM based tools like the ones I use every day, or the agentic AI we’re building in our business – sits in the People component of EOS. It has a seat on your Accountability Chart. It reports to a human. It gets evaluated on GWC – Gets it, Wants it, Has the Capacity. And the human accountable for that AI owns the decisions it makes.
That’s not a new operating system. That’s EOS. Applied intelligently to a new kind of team member.
EOS doesn’t need to be rebuilt for an AI world. It needs to be extended. And the businesses best placed to do that are the ones who already have the clarity, accountability & honest conversation that EOS creates.
Right AI. Right Seat.
A Personal Note
I want to be transparent about something.
I developed this thinking in genuine conversation with Ellie – my Claude AI, who sits on my Accountability Chart as my critical thinking partner & challenger. She pushed back on my ideas, asked the hard questions & helped me articulate something I could feel was true but hadn’t yet put into words clearly.
Which is – I think you’ll agree – a pretty perfect illustration of the thesis itself.
I could have spent weeks writing this alone. Instead, I used the tools available to me intelligently, intentionally & with a human firmly in the loop.
That’s not a shortcut. That’s leadership in 2026.
And if that makes me a dinosaur – I’ll take it. 🐘
Three Things I’d Love You to Do
-
Read the series. Start at Day 1 & work through it. Each post builds on the last. The thesis lands much harder if you’ve followed the journey.
-
Share it with someone who needs it. If you know a business owner who’s worried about AI & EOS – or who’s been told EOS is old-fashioned – send them this newsletter. Or share the Day 8 thesis post directly. This conversation is too important to stay in one corner of LinkedIn.
-
Tell me where AI sits on YOUR Accountability Chart. This is the question I’m genuinely curious about right now. Are you already using AI tools in your business? Have you thought about who owns them & who’s accountable for them? Hit reply & tell me. I read every response personally & I’d love to have that conversation with you.
And If You’re Ready to Build the Foundation
Everything I’ve written about in this series – the clarity, the accountability, the right people in the right seats, the honest data – starts with EOS.
If you’re an entrepreneurial business owner with 10-250 staff & you’re ready to build the foundation that makes everything else work – including your AI – let’s talk.
